Mood board, conception, interior design, product curation, installation and styling for Continental Realty Group —a multi-family housing development company investing in properties with gut renovations of the common areas, units, clubhouse, outdoor spaces and model units. This project renovation consisted of a two bedroom model unit for their newly renovated property, Viridian Palms. As the sole designer, my role was to not only come up with a full-scale decor plan for the unit, but also to purchase, install and style the finished areas for use as their primary model unit to appeal and attract future residents.
The current design felt dated and dark. The challenge was to use as much of the existing furniture as possible, yet give the unit a bright and updated makeover. I kept a majority of the large furniture pieces but replaced decor items, wall art and accessories to make as big of an impact as possible while keeping within a limited budget. I proposed a sunny, California-cool palette, complete with bright blues and whites for a crisp, desired feel that would appeal to a wide variety of future residents in demographics.
