Mood board, conception, interior design, product curation, installation and styling for Continental Realty Group — a multi-family housing development company investing in properties with gut renovations of the common areas, units, clubhouse, outdoor spaces and model units. This project renovation consisted of three design areas for their property at Canyon Reserve: the one-bedroom model unit, a community outdoor dining/bbq area and a community Wifi Room. As the sole designer, my role was to not only come up with a full-scale decor plan for the unit, outdoor dining and Wifi room, but also to purchase, install and style the finished areas for use as their primary model unit to future residents and livable shared spaces for the current community.

MOOD BOARDs

For the community outdoor dining area, I used the clients chosen color palette used in the adjacent pool and lounge zones. I grounded the space with modern wood tones to incorporate the new pergola and outdoor kitchen. The new dining table, chairs and cushions fit seamlessly into creating an updated, warm and welcoming space for all the residents. The Wifi room was a challenge for the client to understand the best utilization of the extra community space. I worked with them to pitch a room that felt motivating enough for residents who preferred a daytime community work environment yet cozy enough for residents to rent out for family parties, football games, etc. To save money, the client also wanted to incorporate as much of the wall art and furniture from a more recent remodel as possible while still looking up-to-date.
